Donations Received

Many of you out there are probably curious about how the donation thing is going. I know I would be if I were a viewer of this website - just how much in donations can some random personal website on the internet end up receiving? I look forward to finding out.

So, as donations come in, I'm going to list the amount of every donation on this page, along with the date it was received.

I began taking donations on June 25, 2006. I received a number of donations in Second Life, though I don't think it's as a result of my web page (though I could be wrong).

Here's a list of the donations I've received thus far. (My Second Life donation box script automatically sends me an email when I get donations).

It's too much trouble to convert the dates and times to a more readable format, so, for help on interpreting the below dates in the weird format they're in, see the llGetTimestamp() article from the LSL Wiki.

The total amount of donations I've received in Second Life is L$754, or about $2.84 USD. (Using L$265/$1 USD as the exchange rate).

From August up until October 2007, I didn't even have anything set out anywhere in Second Life to collect donations. For a brief time in November and maybe December 2007, I did, followed by another period of no donation box from December 2007 to April 2008. I've received a total of four donations via PayPal. The first two were from the same person. The first was $3.50 - the automatic email I got about it was dated 8/1/2007 9:53:50 A.M. EDT. The second was $5.00, and the automatic email about that was dated 8/13/2007 1:10:36 P.M. EDT.

The third was $10.00, and the automatic email about that was dated 11/21/2007 3:04:21 A.M. EST. The fourth, and the largest yet, was $16.00, and the automatic email about that was dated 3/12/2008 9:55:05 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time.
